To my Dear Grandson, I made it through our Baltimore Trip

Yo Grandma is so fat and you might not have known it but I was trying to watch what I was eating during our little trip to Baltimore. I didn't do too bad except for that one trip up at the Cheesecake Factory.

You know which one it was.

We basically had 3 meals out during our day trip and I could have done better but I could have done so so much worse.

Meal 1 was dinner at the Cheesecake Factory
Enchiladas (chicken) with Corn Tortillas that came with sweet corn cakes and black beans - I shared a few bites of the Enchiladas with you, skipped most of the corn cakes and ate the black beans.

Then came the Red Velvet Cheesecake that we took back to our room. I just HAD to have it. Remember when we went to Baltimore last year and I didn't get it because there was birthday cake waiting in our room? Well, this year when opportunity knocks......and opportunity was knocking....

The good news is that you and Grandma shared the Cheesecake AND that together we still didn't finish it!

Meal 2 Breakfast/Brunch
Crab Omelette with Boursin Cheese Not sure of the calories in Boursin Cheese
1 slice whole grain toast
1 cup home fried potato cubes
1 slice bacon
orange juice
coffee

Meal 3
Dinner at Burger King
1 Chicken Parmesan Sandwich and a few "borrowed" fries
Iced Tea

So, all in all, not so bad. It could have been much worse. We also did alot of walking and spent about an hour in the swimming pool so Grandma got her exercise. We have alot more of these little trips to do in our future so Grandma needs to keep up watching her weight and doing her exercises.

Grandma needs to keep reminding herself why it is so important to keep losing weight and become more healthy.

Weekends with Grandsons are good reminders :).

I love you Grandson,
Yo Grandma

  1. I have to admit it has been a while since I read your blog. So this single comment will stretch back to some of your previous posts a bit.

First, sounds like you did fine on your recent trip. I wonder though if you could find out ahead of time how many calories are in each of the dishes. I would think the cheesecake factory has them posted on line. It might be helpful to know that ahead of time. I did this on a recent trip to CA and it worked well. Since you plan on other weekends away, it might be a proactive way of keeping you moving forward on your journey.

Congratulations on being down another pound! Sounds like you are doing well at moving more. Michele
